Fleming and Benn Named to Pac-10 All-Academic Team

Seattle - Washington senior punter Ryan Fleming and junior center Kyle Benn were named to the Pac-10 Conference's 2000 All-Academic Football team today by commissioner Tom Hansen.

Fleming, has a 3.24 GPA as a major in information systems and finance. It marked the second consecutive year he has been honored by the conference for his academic achievements. Fleming is also a two-time Region VIII Academic All-American. Fleming, a three-year starter as a punter at Washington, averaged 38.1 yards per kick in 2000.

Benn, who helped the Huskies to lead the Pac-10 in rushing this season with a 211-yard average per game, has a 3.18 GPA as a business major at Washington.

Washington players earning honorable mention All-Academic honors included redshirt freshman inside linebacker Tyler Krambrink, redshirt freshman quarterback Cody Pickett, senior quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo and senior inside linebacker Oye Waddell.
