SEATTLE - For the eighth straight season, a number of University of Washington baseball games will be broadcast live on the radio in the Puget Sound area. In all, 25 Husky games, plus any postseason action, will be carried on KSRB AM-1150.

Returning to the broadcast booth is Eric Radovich, who has served as the UW baseball play-by-play man in 1994 and 1995 and again last season. A former member of the Seattle Mariner's P.R. staff and former the public address announcer at Husky basketball games, Radovich is currently the public relations manager for Seafair. Radovich will be joined at Husky home games by analyst Eric Schmidt, a former three-year letterman for the Huskies (1992-94). Schmidt, a relief pitcher in his playing days, still ranks sixth in UW history in career saves.

The games will also air on the internet. They can be accessed at www.broadcast.com or via the official UW athletics web site -- www.gohuskies.com.

The broadcasts begin March 12, when the Huskies take on George Washington in the first night game in Husky Ballpark history. The schedule also includes 22 of the Huskies' 24 Pacific-10 Conference games and both games against Wichita State. Any postseason games will also be aired.
