PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Washington womens golf team stands in fourth place with a second round score of 303 and a two day total of 603 at the Stanford Intercollegiate in Palo Alto. The host Cardinal lead the tournament with a total of 593, followed by Arizona at 598 and Indiana at 601.
Sophomore Elisha Au continued her strong play with a second round 2-under-71 on the par 73, 6,093-yard Stanford Golf Course. Freshman Kelli Kamimura, the top-ranked college player, finished the day at 3-over-76. Andrea Cordova carded a 77, followed by Jennifer Stapleton at 79 and Paola Bellotti at 81.
The tournament concludes with a final round Sunday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The Washington mens golf team defeated Oregon State in a match play event, 5 1/2 and 2 1/2 at Broadmoor Golf Club prior to the UW-OSU football game. Senior all-America candidate Rob Rashell led the way as he defeated Beaver Justin Johnson 8 and 6.
