FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Washington sprinter Ja'Warren Hooker streaked to two more NCAA automatic qualifying marks on Saturday, one each in the 55-meter dash and the 200m, bringing his total to four automatic qualifying times this season, a Husky record. Lat week, while competing in Idaho, Hooker set an automatic qualifier in the 60m (6.29), and teamed up with Huskies B.J. Dawson, Scott Anabel, and Derek Prior to establish the fifth-fastest time in the nation in the 4x400m relay, at 3:07.33.
Hooker and the rest of the Husky track team will compete this weekend at the Mt. Pacific Indoor Championships in Reno, Nev., the final tuneup before the NCAA Championships, being held Mar. 13-14 in Indianapolis, Ind.
