Washington Head Coach June Daugherty
GENERAL REMARKS: "It's obviously disappointing to lose. I thought we played well enough to win. I'm really proud of our team. We played through a lot of adversity and didn't quit. This team is very self-motivated and they will continue to grow because they don't point fingers except at themselves. It's disappointing for these kids who put a lot of heart and soul on the court. They put everything they had out there."
Washington Point Guard Julia Gray
"Any loss is a tough loss but you have to look at the positives. We played really well on both sides of the court. You can't dwell on the losses. Oregon plays good defense. They're going to do that for 40 minutes."
Washington Guard Loree Payne
"We came out and played our hearts out. We played with the emotion and intensity that we talked about all week but we couldn't get it done in the end. It's frustrating."
Oregon Head Coach Jody RungeGENERAL REMARKS: "It was an unbelievable game. We had trouble scoring, we had to look for an answer. It was a big effort by both teams. UW put together a great effort on shooting, defense and on boards. We struggled all game with poor shooting. All our turnovers forced us to defend more. UW disrupted our transition game and we weren't able to get a lot of fast breaks. Things really didn't go our way. A lot of individuals had to step up. We played our hearts out and so did they."
OREGON GUARD SHAQUALA WILLIAMS
On Fouling Out: "It was hard to watch those last 11 seconds from the bench. It was the same as the USC game. I had to stay supportive and hope and pray for my teammates. I have to give credit to them. The last six minutes I was out, they pulled it off."
OREGON FORWARD ANGELINA WOLVERT
On the Winning Shot: "The last shot was awesome. I was so glad it went in. They were man to man, I think we all expected them to play zone defense. They didn't and I had the shot."
