COTO DE CAZA, Calif.-- UCLA, the No. 31 team in the nation, won the Spalding/Anteater Golf Invitational at Coto de Caza (North) Country Club behind medalist Jason Semelsberger.

The Bruins shot even-par 864 over the 54-hole tournament for a 16-shot win over No. 45 Washington, who took second. California, ranked No. 43 in the latest MasterCard Rankings, finished one shot behind Washington for third place.

Semelsberger recorded a par on the first playoff hole to defeat Washington's Rob Rashell for the individual title at 213. Rashell had a double bogey on the playoff hole at the par-4 18th. Semelsberger shot an even-par 72 in Tuesday's final round, while Rashell carded a 3-under 69.

UCLA had two other players in the top seven spots, as Jeff McGraw was fourth at 218 and Ross Fulgentis finished seventh at 218.

Stanford's Joel Kribel, ranked No. 16 in the nation, finished third at 2-under 214, including a 69 Tuesday.
