Troy Kelly Finishes 14th At Savane Golf Classic

El PASO, Tex. - Husky sophomore Troy Kelly carded a 76 on the final day of competition at the 25th Annual Savane College All-America Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas. Kelly dropped one spot from his first-day, two-round standing of 13th to finish with a total of 223 strokes and in 14th place in the 24-individual field. Kelly was the lone representative from Washington in the elite competition.

Matt Kuchar of Georgia Tech finished first after winning a three-hole playoff against BYU's Andy Miller, the second in tournament history. Both men finished with a total of 208 strokes over the par 71, 6,718-yard El Paso Country Club course. Tied for second place at 4-under were David Gossett of Texas, and first-day leader John Engler of Clemson, each totaling 209 strokes in three rounds.

Washington is scheduled to resume team competition in January.
