Washington Finishes Seventh At Arizona Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington men's golf team moved up two slots and finished seventh at the Ping Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Arizona. The conclusion of round two, as well as the entirety of round three, was held today, with round two being suspended yesterday due to darkness. Southern California topped the 20-team field after overtaking tournament host Arizona in the third round, with a team, 4-under total of 848. Arizona was three strokes over at 855.

Ricky Barnes of Arizona claimed the tournament title after taking 204 strokes over the par 71, 6, 797 yard Raven Golf Club Course. For Washington, sophomore Troy Kelly finished tied for sixth with a 1-under, three-round total of 212. The Huskies entered the tournament as defending champions.

The Huskies next travel to Hawaii Feb. 18-20, for the Taylor Made Waikoloa Invite hosted by UH Hilo.
