Boise, Idaho -- The 18th-ranked Washington men's tennis team scored a 6-1 victory over No. 43 Boise State (1-2) earlier today. The Huskies swept all six singles matches but lost the doubles point.
Senior Eric Drew defeated Wesley Moodie 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 in No. 2 singles action to improve his record to 3-0. The victory placed Drew alone in seventh-place on Washington's career singles win list. He has 66 career wins. Sophomore Andy Posavac, ranked 96th, clinched the match with a 0-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Bronco Ryan Thompson.
Next weekend the Huskies host No. 1 Stanford and No. 25 California. It will be the first time the Bay Area schools travel to the Northwest to take on the Huskies.
In women's action in the Nordstrom Tennis Center, Washington defeated Idaho, 9-0.
