SEATTLE- -- Todd MacCulloch scored 19 of his 29 points in the first half as Washington took command early en route to an 86-68 victory over Old Dominion at Edmundson Pavilion. The win avenged a 67-57 setback last year at Old Dominion. Trailing 5-0 two minutes into the contest, the Huskies staged an 11-2 run over the next two minutes. MacCulloch tallied seven points to fuel the run that resulted in an 11-7 UW advantage. The Huskies increased the lead to 41-33 by halftime and extended it to as many as 21 points midway through the second period. MacCulloch converted 12 of his 15 shot attempts from the field to lead a 52-percent Washington performance from the floor. The Husky defense limited Old Dominion to 43 percent shooting. Donald Watts scored 15 points and added five assists for Washington which also got 10 points from Deon Luton. Reserve center Skipper Youngblood led the Monarchs with 14 points. Cal Bowdler and Curtis Pass each had 12 points for ODU and Mark Poag added 10.
