WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Washington third baseman Ryan Lentz and pitcher Matt Hampton have been named the Pacific-10 Conference Northern Division Player and Pitcher of the Week (March 9-15), Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Lentz, a junior from Woodinville, Wash., hit .444 (8-for-18) to help the Huskies to a perfect 5-0 record last week. He had seven runs, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBI while hitting safely in all five games. It's the second Player of the Week honor of his career.

Hampton, a junior from Wenatchee, Wash., pitched six scoreless innings to collect his third victory of the season in the Huskies' 8-0 triumph over Portland State. He allowed five hits and one walk and struck out one in six innings of work. The Pitcher of the Week honor is the second of his career.

The 20th-ranked Huskies (12-4) take on No. 1 Stanford (20-2-1) this weekend in a rematch of last season's Pac-10 Championship Series.
