Men's Tennis Bows Out of Pac-10 Tennis Tourney

OJAI, Calif. - Junior Eric Drew's run through the Pac-10 Tennis Singles Championships held in Ojai, Calif. was halted in the semifinal round as he lost to Stanford's 29th-ranked Paul Goldstein. Drew won the first set 6-3 but Goldstein came back to win the next two, 6-1, 6-2. Drew's singles record now stands at 20-9.

Drew teamed up with Robert Kendrick later in the day only to lose in the quarterfinal round of doubles action. The 41st-ranked duo lost to Stanford's seventh-ranked doubles team of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan 6-2, 6-3. Drew and Kendrick's doubles record now stands at 18-7.

Washington returns to team action May 15-17 in the NCAA Regionals at a site to be determined. The Huskies will be making their fourth straight NCAA post-season appearance, all under the direction of head coach Matt Anger.
