LOS ANGELES - Reserve forward Anna Biddle scored a goal and assisted on another, helping the Washington women's soccer team tie 12th-ranked UCLA 3-3 on Sunday at North Athletic Field.

The result was the first tie in 35 all-time Pacific-10 Conference games for the Huskies whose record moved to 4-7-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play. UCLA is 11-2-1 with a 3-0-1 Pac-10 mark.

UCLA forced the overtime, tying the game on a goal by Tracey Milburn just 25 seconds from the end of regulation. The Bruins had an opportunity to win the game after Washington junior defender Erin Ash was issued a red card for foul language with one second remaining. UCLA's Karissa Hampton booted the ensuing penalty kick wide as regulation time expired.

The two teams settled on a 3-3 tie after battling through 30 minutes of scoreless overtime with Washington playing one player short due to Ash's ejection.

Freshman goalkeeper Hope Solo preserved the tie for Washington, registering four saves during the second 15-minute overtime period during which the Bruins outshot UW 8-1. Solo totaled nine saves for the game while UCLA's CiCi Peterson had six.

UCLA jumped out to a 2-0 advantage inside the first 27 minutes. Krista Boling scored at 13:22 followed by a Lauren Emblem tally at 26:17.

Biddle, a senior from Bellevue High School, entered the game in the 41st minute and scored an unassisted goal three minutes later. Her goal at 43:35 drew Washington within 2-1 at halftime.

The Huskies got the equalizer at 50:31 on the first career goal by sophomore defender Andrea Morelli, a product of Eastside Catholic High School. Biddle was credited with an assist on the Huskies' second score.

Junior Theresa Wagner, a Lakeside High School graduate, gave Washington a 3-2 lead off a Katey Ward pass at 77:28.

Washington begins a four-game homestand Friday (Oct. 22) at 3 p.m. against Oregon State at Husky Soccer Field.
