 Appeared in 11 games, 10 of them starts ... nine of 10 starts came in Pac-12 games ... pitched four scoreless innings in a start March 5 vs. SeattleU ... gave up three hits and three walks while striking out one in that start ... appeared in relief Feb. 24 at Lamar, working two and one-third innings ... got his first Pac-12 Conference start March 17 at No. 11 UCLA ... took the loss in that one, allowing two runs on three hits over three innings of work ... started the first game of the Oregon series on March 28, going six innings (no decision) ... gave up two runs (both in the first inning) on just three hits and a walk with four Ks in six innings against the Ducks, leaving the game with the UW leading, 3-2 ... was brilliant in a start April 20 (game one) vs. No. 5 Oregon State, pitching seven shutout innings for the victory ... gave up five hits (all singles) and a walk while fanning two vs. the Beavers ... another top-notch start April 26 (no decision) in the UW's 3-2, 12-inning win over Cal ... went nine innings vs. the Bears, allowing one unearned run on three hits with three walks and five strikeouts ... had a third straight good outing May 3 at Arizona, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk over eight innings, earning the victory ... no decision in UW's 5-4, 10-inning loss May 10 vs. Utah .. started and pitched five and two-thirds vs. the Utes, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts ... no decision in Husky win May 17 at Washington State, allowing two runs on eight hits in five-inning start ... no decision in the UW win over No. 19 Arizona State May 24 ... went six innings against ASU, allowing six hits and five runs. 

2012: Pitched in two games for the UW in his true freshman season ... started Feb. 22 vs. Seattle University, taking the loss after allowing three runs ... pitched two scoreless innings of relief April 24 at Portland ... struck out two and allowed one hit in that outing ... played summer ball for the Bellingham Bells, going 4-3 with a 3.21 ERA over nine starts and 56 innings. 


NEWPORT HIGH SCHOOL
Played three seasons on the varsity for coach Hal DeBerry at Newport ... captained the team as a senior ... as a senior, hit .360 with 25 RBI and went 8-2 with a 1.92 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 51 innings ... helped team to a 19-6 record and a league title as a senior ... made first-team All-KingCo as a DH and second-team as a pitcher in 2011 ... also earned first-team all-state as a pitcher ... selected by the Astros in the 26th round of the 2011 draft ... as a junior, hit .320 while also fanning 36 in 29 innings ... won the American Legion state title in the summer between sophomore and junior years ... made the Area Code Games as a sophomore and junior and made the Perfect Game National Team and preseason All-America team ... also played two seasons of basketball at Newport.

Playing on my six year old brother’s team when I was three.

Greatest baseball memory:
Shutting out top-ranked Oregon State Beavers seven innings and earning the win sophomore year at Husky Ballpark.

Why do you love baseball:
I was born into a baseball family, grew up playing, and there’s nothing I would rather be doing.
