Born in Seattle … parents are Monique Bloedel and Jim Patricelli … father and both grandfathers attended UW ... grandfather Ron Patricelli competed on the UW track & field team and grandfather, Elmen (Red) Bloedel, played basketball at Portland and obtained his Masters in EE at UW … one of the top javelin throwers in the nation, winning every meet he competed in as a senior on his way to winning the 2014 4A Washington state title with a throw of 204-6 … ranked No. 8 nationally with a PR of 210-3 … also threw an even 200-feet to win the 2014 district title … also won the state title as a junior in 2013 with a big throw of 205-7 … also ran on both relays, making it to state on the 4x400m relay as a junior … won the 2011 Junior Olympic Nationals javelin title in Wichita, Kansas with a toss of 191-4 … earned a win at the 2013 World Youth Championship Trials in Illinois, throwing 221-5 with the lighter implement … also lettered in football, earning SPSL All-League offense and defense honors as a senior … a 2014 U.S. Marines Student-Athlete Award winner … graduated with a 3.42 GPA.
