2015: Competed just twice in the first two indoor meets of the year, high jumping 6-2 3/4 at the UW Indoor Preview and failing to make a bar at the UW Invite.
2014: Got his indoor season off to a great start before being slowed by a knee issue … in his first meet as a Husky he cleared 6-10 ¼ in the high jump, tying for fourth at the UW Indoor Preview … next best make was 6-6 ¼ at the UW Invitational … tied for 14th in the high jump at the MPSF Championships, clearing 6-5 … did not compete outdoors.
2012-13 (At Pomona-Pitzer): On the basketball team, played forward and appeared in seven games, scoring 35 total points and collecting 13 rebounds … missed a large part of the season due to injury … on the track team, best high jump was 6-6 ¾ … cleared 6-6 at the Oxy Invitational to take second.
High School and Personal: Born in St. Louis, Missouri … parents are Anne and Steve Knight … has one younger brother, Max, and one younger sister, Phylly … only started track his senior season after lettering all four years of high school in basketball, where he was one of the state’s top players … an All-KingCo selection as a junior and senior, and a McDonald’s All-America nominee in 2012 for hoops … a Seattle Times Top-40 player for the state of Washington … the 2011 KingCo All-Star Game MVP … in one season of track, took second at the Washington 4A State Championships in the high jump, going 6-6 in the final … won the KingCo and district high jump titles in 2012 … top mark of the season was a 6-7 clearance.
