2015: In his first season competing in uniform, he made significant progress in the multi-events, but had his biggest breakthrough in the high jump, where he tied the fourth-best mark in school history and advanced to NCAA West Preliminaries … at the Pac-12 Multi-Events, he PR’d in the high jump by nearly four inches, making it over 7-1 ½ when his high jump best was previously 6-9 ¾ … that clearance tied for fourth in school history and qualified him for West Prelims in Austin, where he finished in a tie for 28th with a make of 6-9 ¾ … had a foul in the long jump at the Pac-12 decathlon, hampering his final score, as he finished 14th overall, highlighted by the high jump win … first full decathlon was at the California Invitational, where he scored 6,387 points, winning the high jump at 6-8 ¾ and taking second in the long jump at 22-5 ¾ … won the long jump at the UW-WSU Dual meet going 22-4 ½ and he also got a point in the triple jump with a third-place finish … set a then-PR of 6-9 ¾ in the high jump at the Pepsi Team Invite, finishing third … indoors, competed at the MPSF Championships in the long jump and high jump, finishing 15th in both, as he long jumped 22-1 and high jumped 6-6 ¼ … indoor high jump best was 6-8 ¾ at both the Husky Classic and the UW Invitational … earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.

Redshirted his first season to preserve a year of eligibility, training and competing unattached in the multis … indoors, completed a heptathlon at the UW Invitational, though he no heighted the pole vault resulting in a score of 3,810 points … took fifth overall in the open high jump at the Husky Classic, as he cleared a season-best of 6-8 ¾ … had a best long jump of 21-4 ¾ at the UW Indoor Open and raised his shot put best to 38-1 ½ … outdoors, competed once at the Washington Open, long jumping 21-0, and throwing the javelin 138-feet.

High School and Personal:
Born in Tacoma, Wash. … parents are Dana and Tobius Murray … has one brother, Javon, and one sister, Makenzie … father played basketball at the University of Baltimore … one of the top jumpers in the state, scoring in both the high jump and triple jump at the 4A state level … as a senior in 2013, he took fourth in the high jump, equaling the second-best clearance at 6-6, and going 44-4 to finish third in the triple jump … twice cleared a personal-best of 6-8 in the high jump during his senior season … won the district and regional triple jump titles in 2013, and the 2012 regional titles in both the high jump and triple jump … won the 2013 Pasco Invite high jump with a clearance of 6-7 and the triple jump at 44-6 … first at the 2013 Shoreline Invite with a high jump of 6-8 … cleared 6-6 to take second at the 2013 BorderDuel Track Classic … also lettered two years in basketball, earning Defensive MVP honors in 2011-12 and 2012-13 … graduated with a 3.69 GPA.
