2014: Threw the javelin in her first season, three times getting past the 130-foot mark … ended her season with a PR of 133-3 at the Ken Shannon Invite, placing fifth overall … was second in her first meet at the Trojan Invitational, throwing 132-9 … also threw 130-10 at the UW-WSU Dual, finishing sixth … picked up the discus once at the Dual Meet, throwing 103-4 to finish fourth.

High School and Personal:
Born in Yakima, Washington … parents are Angie and Steve Brown … has one older brother, Chad … a three-time 4A state qualifier in the javelin, finishing seventh as a sophomore and ninth as a junior … won the Columbia Basin Big Nine title as a senior as well as the district title in the javelin … best toss as a senior was 136-2 at the Holder Relays; also threw over 130-feet at four more meets … won 2012 CBBN/GSL Regionals with a personal-best javelin toss of 137-9 … also threw the discus regularly, with a best mark of 114-2 in 2013 … named an NECA/IBEW Outstanding Student-Athlete in 2012 and 2013 … also lettered all four years in volleyball, earning First Team All-League as a senior and All-State as well … two-time Most Inspirational on volleyball …  an excellent student, she was twice named foreign language student of the year and once in English and social studies ... an Honors Convocation award winner, member of National Honor Society, and graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
