2014 (Cross Country): A strong sophomore season as she helped lead the Huskies back to the NCAA Championships, where they finished 23rd as a team … ran in the UW top-five scorers at five of the six meets … best race of the season was an 18th-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, third on the team, helping UW place fourth … finished 203rd at her first NCAA Championship race, sixth on the team … was fifth on the squad at NCAA West Regionals, finishing 43rd overall … a strong race at the Wisconsin Invitational, finishing 70th overall and third on the team … was the No. 2 Husky finisher at the Washington Invitational, in 26th-place overall in 21:01 … also the second Husky across the line at the season-opening Sundodger Invite in sixth-place … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2013-14 (Track): A strong first season over the long distances, moving up to the 10,000-meters for the first time at her first Pac-12 Championships … took 14th at Pac-12s in her first 10k, finishing in 36:23.13 … had a great first 5,000-meters at the Stanford Invitational, running 16:42.90 to finish 11th in section four … also ran 16:49.92 for 5k at the Mt. SAC Relays … ran the 1,500 at the Oregon Preview in 4:39.69 … seventh in the 3,000m at the UW-WSU Dual in 10:07.00 … indoors, did double duty at the MPSF Championships, finishing 13th in the 5,000-meters in 17:03.00, then coming back to run the 3,000m, finishing 35th in 10:11.08 … best 3,000-meters was 9:37.27 at the UW Invitational, placing 17th overall ... (Cross Country): Ran in the top-seven four times and scored once at the Wisconsin Invitational … fifth on the team at Wisconsin and 107th overall in 21:09 … seventh on the team at NCAA West Regionals and 91st overall in 21:17 … took 25th overall and sixth among Huskies as UW won the Bill Dellinger Invitational … opened her collegiate career with a 13th-place finish at the Sundodger, seventh on the team … also ran at Pac-12s, finishing 90th and ninth on the squad.
High School and Personal: Born in Elmhurst, Illinois … parents are Becky and Milton Flanagan … the younger sister of current Husky Lindsay Flanagan, also has older brothers Ryan and Christopher ... a two-time Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals competitor and a top-20 finisher at Nike Cross Nationals as well ... qualified for her second straight Foot Locker finals in 2012 with an eighth-place finish at the Midwest Regional, and went on to take 34th at nationals ... in 2011, she pulled off the rare Foot Locker and Nike Cross Nationals double, placing 31st at Foot Locker and 18th at NXN ... had a career-best fourth-place finish at NXN Midwest Regionals in 2011 ... captured her first Illinois state track title as a junior in 2011, winning the 3A 3,200-meters in 10:30.47 ... was runner-up in the 3,200-meter final as a senior on the track … a three-time top-10 finisher at the Illinois 3A state cross country meet, placing fourth in 2012, third in 2011, and ninth in 2010 ... won three Upstate Eight Conference titles in cros country and five on the track, sweeping the 1,600m and 3,200m as a junior and senior … set a 3,200m PR of 10:25.98 at 2012 sectionals … graduated with a 4.89 grade point average.
