2014-15 (Track): Nearly reached her first NCAA Championships in the 5,000-meters, as she finished 14th at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in Austin with the top-12 moving on … ran the 5k in 16:12.04 at NCAA West Prelims … stepped up to the 10,000-meters for the first time at the Pac-12 Championships, finishing 10th in 34:21.84 … season-best 5,000-meters came at the Stanford Invitational where she was eighth in her section in 16:06.59 … ran a 1,500-meters PR of 4:22.69 at the Pepsi Team Invitational, finishing fourth … won the 3,000-meters at the UW-WSU Dual in a time of 9:37.23 and was fifth in the 1,500-meters in 4:33.89 … traveled to the Drake Relays, helping the 4x1600m relay finish second overall and running the 1,200m leg on the distance medley relay that took third in 11:17.54 … did not compete during the indoor season … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team … earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention ... (Cross Country): Redshirted the fall season.
2013-14 (Track): Excellent freshman year on the track, scoring at the Pac-12 Championships and advancing to the NCAA West Preliminary Championships … broke the 16-minute mark in her first 5,000-meters, running 15:58.42 at the Stanford Invitational and moved to No. 10 on the Husky top-10 list … at her first Pac-12 meet, took seventh in the 5,000-meters in a time of 16:38.51 … qualified for West Prelims in Fayetteville, placing 29th overall in 16:48.75 … won a pair of Drake Relays titles, running on the victorious 4x1600-meter relay and the distance medley relay … opened the season with a 1,500m best of 4:23.28 … fourth in both the 1,500m and 3,000m at the UW-WSU Dual … during the indoor season, ran the anchor leg on the distance medley relay that took the MPSF title in 11:13.99, the No. 5 time in school history … also ran the 3,000-meters at MPSFs, taking 10th in 9:27.92 … set a 3k best of 9:21.94 at the Husky Classic, moving to seventh on the top-10 list ... (Cross Country): An excellent freshman season where she ran in the top-seven at every meet and scored for UW in five of six outings … capped first season at the NCAA Championships, finishing 128th overall and fifth on the team as the Huskies placed 17th … finished 20th at her first Pac-12 Championships, third on the squad … also the third Husky finisher at NCAA West Regionals in 42nd-place … was ninth at the Bill Dellinger Invite, third on the team, as UW won the team title … was the No. 6 Husky across the line at the Wisconsin Invitational, 109th overall … finished third in college debut at the Sundodger Invite, second on the team, in 20:47.
High School and Personal: Born in Spokane, Wash. … parents are Janet and Jon Knight … has three older brothers, Jack, Matt, and Pat, and one younger brother, Hank … both parents ran track at Washington State University … one of the top distance runners in the nation, the Spokane standout competed for Team USA at the 2013 IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championships in Poland, finishing 28th overall as the No. 3 American finisher … earned her spot at Worlds with a fourth-place finish at the 2013 U.S. Junior Cross Country Championships in St. Louis ... took third at the prestigious Nike Cross Nationals in both 2011 and 2012, first out of the Northwest region both years, after placing eighth as a sophomore and 16th as a freshman in 2009 ... in her senior track season in 2013, won the Washington 3A state title at 3,200-meters for the second straight year and was third at 1,600-meters … ran a 3,200m PR of 10:11.93 at the Arcadia Invite that ranked sixth nationally in 2013 … also ranked fourth nationally in the 5k in 2013 with a time of 16:25.75 at the Portland Track Festival … fourth at the 2013 New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the 2-mile in 10:19.59, and fourth as well in the mile in 4:51.13 … the Greater Spokane League athlete of the year in 2013 … won the Washington 3A state cross country title in 2011 as a junior, and was second in 2009, 2010, and 2012, all three times taking second to fellow UW recruit Amy-Eloise Neale ... the Greater Spokane League cross country champ from 2010-12 ... Running Times ranked her the No. 6 individual nationally for 2012 ... named the Washington Gatorade Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year for 2011 ... won state titles on the track in 2012 in both the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meters, after taking second in those two events in both her freshman and sophomore seasons ... won the Nike Border Clash cross country title in 2011, leading Washington to the win over Oregon along with fellow future Huskies Neale and Maddie Meyers ... placed fourth at the 2011 U.S. Junior Track Championships in the 3,000-meters ... competed for Team USA at the 2012 Great Edinburgh Cross Country International Challenge in Scotland, placing fourth overall and helping the junior women's team take the title ... as a sophomore, took seventh at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the mile run in 4:48.48 and 10th in the two-mile finals in 10:31 ... chose UW over Stanford and Colorado … graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
