2013: Became UW’s first male athlete to win Pac-12 Freshman of the Year as he earned All-America honorable mention in the 110m hurdles and on the 4x100m relay, and also was the Pac-12 runner-up in the pole vault … advanced to the NCAA final site in the 110m hurdles and as the lead leg on the 4x100-meter relay, and also competed at NCAA West Prelims in the pole vault … at West Prelims, he ran his 110m hurdles PR of 13.82 seconds in the quarterfinals to place eighth overall and move on to Eugene … the 13.82 time is second-fastest in UW history and the fastest since 1976 … had a tough race in the NCAA semis at Oregon, finishing 22nd overall in 14.46 … the 4x100m relay ran a season-best 40.03 at West Prelims in Austin to get the 12th and final qualifying spot, and went on to finish 20th at NCAAs … tied for 35th overall at West Prelims in the pole vault, clearing 16-6 ¾ … at the Pac-12 Championships, he was a surprise second-place finisher with a big PR of 17-feet, 3-inches … was also one hurdle away from a third-place finish in the 110m hurdles at Pac-12s, but fell over the last hurdle and was unable to finish … had previously run a then-season-best time of 14.03 in the hurdles prelims at Pac-12s … helped the 4x100m relay take fourth at Pac-12s in 40.17 … got the win in the hurdles at the UW-WSU Dual, leading a Husky sweep, in 14.36 seconds … nice pole vault and hurdles double at the Mt. SAC Relays, going 16-10 ¾ in the vault and 14.22 in the hurdles … took second in the hurdles at the Pepsi Team Invite in 14.21 … indoors, posted the No. 3 time in school history in the 60m hurdles, going 7.92 seconds at the Husky Classic for a second-place finish … also ran 7.94 seconds at the UW Final Qualifier for second … best indoor pole vault of 16-5 ½ at the UW Indoor Preview … at MPSFs, got tangled with another runner in the hurdles prelims and did not make the final, and also finished 13th in the pole vault at 15-10.

High School and Personal: Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ... parents are Sabrina Ford and Chris Williams ... has one older sister, Alix, who runs track for the University of Michigan, focusing on the 400m hurdles ... father, Chris, was an All-American hurdler at the University of Iowa ... unique athlete who captured the 2012 Pennsylvania 3A state titles in both the 110-meter hurdles and the pole vault, setting a state meet record in the vault at 16-6 ... also ran 13.91 to win his second straight 110m hurdles state title, and ran on the title-winning 4x100m relay ... ranked in the top-20 nationally in 2012 in both the hurdles and pole vault ... during the 2012 indoor season, was one of the fastest 60-meter hurdlers in the nation, placing fourth at the New Balance Indoor Nationals meet in a new PR of 7.77 seconds ... that time ranked fifth nationally during the indoor season ... cleared 16-feet in the vault for the first time at the 2012 Penn Relays ... won the 110m hurdles state title in 2011, running a time of 14.18 seconds into a stiff headwind of -3.4 meters per second ... second at state as a sophomore in the pole vault with a 14-6 clearance ... graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
