2014 (Cross Country): Competed twice during the fall at both Husky home meets … placed 26th at the season-opening Sundodger Invitational, then finished 101st and 10th on the team at the Washington Invitational in 22:24.
2013-14 (Track): Ran just twice on the year due to injury, once indoors and once outdoors ... ran the 3,000-meters at the UW-WSU Dual, finishing 15th in 10:39.76 ... ran 1,000-meters at the UW Indoor Preview in 3:05.59.
2012-13 (Track): Lowered her personal-bests at every distance and ran at the Pac-12 Championships in the 1,500m and 5,000m … at Pac-12s, she was 15th in the 1,500m in 4:30.83, then came back to run the 5k, finishing 24th overall … ran a 5k PR at the Pepsi Team Invitational, finishing fifth in 17:10.28 … top time in the 1,500m came at the Mt. SAC Relays, as she ran 4:28.49 … second in the 800m at the Ken Shannon Invite in a new PR of 2:11.61 … fifth in the 1,500m at the UW-WSU Dual and seventh in the 3k … indoors, focused on the mile, running a PR of 4:50.73 at the MPSF Championships to place tenth ... (Cross Country): Competed three times in the fall, including her first Pac-12 Championships appearance, where she placed 60th overall and eighth among Huskies, in a time of 22:09 for 6k ... also ran at the Adidas Wisconsin Invite, placing 244th overall and seventh on the team in a time of 21:41 ... started the season with a 19th-place effort, fifth among Dawgs, in the team win at the Sundodger ... earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2011-12 (Track): Competed just once on the track, running on the 4x800-meter relay at the first indoor meet of the season, clocking a time of 9:01.33 ... did not compete again indoors or out ... (Cross Country): One of three freshmen to suit up during the fall season ... began her college career with a strong run at the Sundodger Invitational, finishing 13th in a time of 21:44 running unattached ... donned the jersey a week later at the Roy Griak Invite, as she placed 170th overall in a time of 23:02 ... was the top Husky finisher at the Emerald City Open, finishing third overall in a time of 23:05 over the challenging Woodland Park course.
High School and Personal: Born in Belleville, New Jersey ... parents are Eleanor and Joe Amaral ... has two older brothers, Joseph and Marco, and one younger brother, Antonio ... placed second in the mile as a senior in the 2011 New Balance Indoor Nationals, clocking a PR of 4:49.23 ... ran the mile at the 2011 Penn Relays, placing third in 4:50.52 ... dominated outdoors at 1,600-meters as a senior, winning the New Jersey Meet of Champions title after also winning Group IV State, Sectional and Morris County titles ... was third in the mile run at the 2011 Brooks PR Invite held at UW's own Dempsey Indoor in February, running 4:52.32 ... won the New Jersey Group 4 State Championship indoors in 2011 at both 800-meters and 1,600-meters, breaking her own indoor county record with a time of 4:52.98 ... as a junior in 2010, took the state title outdoors at 1,600-meters and 3,200-meters and ran a 1,600m PR at sectionals of 4:52.29 ... third at the New Balance Collegiate Invite 1,000-meter run in 2:52.19 ... anchored her team to a third-place finish at New Balance Nationals in the 4xMile relay to earn All-America honors, and was ninth in the DMR ... also won the indoor state title in 2010 at 3,200 meters and was third at the Meet of Champions ... anchored her 4x800m relay team to fifth-place at the 2010 Penn Relays, and second amongst U.S. teams ... was named the Morris County Athlete of the Year by both the Daily Record and Star Ledger as a junior and senior ... in cross country, was fourth at Group IV state as a junior in 2009 and then sixth at the Meet of Champions ... won the Group IV sectionals title as a sophomore and junior ... her freshman year she was ninth at the Meet of Champions ... an injury limited her 2010 senior cross country season.
