High School: Three-time First Team South Puget Sound League selection for Federal Way ... Three-time defensive MVP for the Eagles and named team MVP as a senior ... Named to the all-state team as a senior. Played her club soccer for the Washington Premier FC out of Puyallup, Wash., and helped the team make the ECNL Nationals in Chicago in 2012 ... The team made the semifinals in part because of Shimer saving a penalty kick in the quarters ... Made ECNL all-event team in San Diego in 2012 … Invited to the ECNL Player Development Program (PDP) in 2012 … Won a state cup with the Federal Way Reign in 2010 where she saved two PK's in the final. And saved two PK’s in a quarterfinal win at regionals that same year.
