2015: Hampered by health issues that limited him to just two meets outdoors and one indoors … competed at the first meet of the year indoors, getting a weight throw PR of 57-5 ¾ and throwing the shot 51-8 ¼ … did not compete for over three months, but returned to take second in the UW-WSU Dual in the hammer throw, tossing 170-9 … also threw the hammer at the Ken Shannon Invite, taking second in 173-0.

The top weight thrower on the team and second in the shot put outdoors … in his first outdoor season, had a top shot put mark of 53-4 ¼ which he hit twice, once at the Oregon Relays and once at the Washington Open … was second in the shot put at the UW-WSU Dual at 52-8 and also second in the hammer throw with a PR of 178-11 … won the Stanford Invite collegiate section shot put at 53-2 ¼ … second in the Ken Shannon Invite hammer at 174-8 … indoors, placed 12th in the weight throw at the MPSF Championships at 56-1 ¼ … set a weight PR of 57-3 ¾ in taking sixth at the UW Invitational … season-best indoor shot put of 53-8 ½ at the MPSF meet, finishing 11th.

Completed a full indoor season before a knee problem forced him to redshirt the outdoor season … indoors, was the top Husky shot putter, and improved in each and every one of his six shot put competitions … opened the year with a 48-8 ¾ at the UW Indoor Preview in the shot and at the UW Final Qualifier he tossed a two-foot season-best of 53-11 … took 15th at the MPSF Championships with a mark of 51-11 … also threw the weight twice indoors, a best of 47-3 ¾.

High School and Personal:
Born in Seattle ... parents are Nancy Angell and Jason Scheideman ... has one older brother, Ben ... father, Jason, is a UW alum ... only began throwing his junior year of high school after playing baseball ... went from 12th at the KingCo meet his junior year in the shot put to conference champion his senior year, throwing over ten feet farther ... in his first state meet his senior year, finished second with a personal-best shot put of 58-feet, 3-inches ... also won districts in the shot in 2012, throwing 56-10 ... also made great strides in the discus in one year, adding 36-feet to his PR in 2012, as he threw a best of 152-10 to win the Arnie Young Invite ... third in the discus at the KingCo Championships ... graduated with a 3.4 grade point average.
