2012-13 (Track): Ran once during the outdoor season before suffering an injury and missing the rest of the year … ran 4:35.33 at the Trojan Invitational to finish ninth in the 1,500-meters … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2011-12 (Track): Competed at her first career Pac-12 Championships, finishing 21st in the 5,000-meters ... posted an outdoor 5,000-meters best of 16:47.66 at the Mt. SAC Relays ... was seventh in the 5k at the Pepsi Team Invite, running 16:52.75 ... also ran a pair of 3k's, with a best of 9:51.49 at the Trojan Invitational ... ran one time during the indoor season, running the mile at the UW Final Qualifier in 5:03.08 ... named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention ... (Cross Country): Had a strong start to her season cut short by a foot injury after two competitions ... ran her first official cross country race as a Husky at the Sundodger Invite, placing fourth overall and second on the team in 21:16 as the Huskies got the win ... traveled to the Roy Griak Invite in Minneapolis and took 84th overall, the sixth Husky finisher, but endured foot pain in the race that would end her fall ... garnered honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic.
2010-11 (Track): Strong first indoor season on the Dempsey oval, running the mile up to 5,000-meters ... her only 5k of the year came at the MPSF Championships, where she scored for the Dawgs with a fifth-place finish in a time of 16:34.50 that ranks fifth in school history ... ran a season-best 3,000-meter time of 9:33.47, just outside the top-10 list, at the Husky Classic ... clocked a 4:55.27 mile run at the UW Final Qualifier, placing seventh ... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors ... (Cross Country): Redshirted the season after transferring to UW from Occidental College ... competed just once unattached, placing 11th at the Emerald City Open at Woodland Park.
2009-10 (Occidental College): Was the top runner in the fall for the Tigers, who competed at the Division-III level in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference ... took second at the Redlands Invitational in her first collegiate race, leading all Tiger finishers ... led Occidental to the 2009 SCIAC team title, placing third overall in 23:30 ... took fourth overall, first among Tigers, at the SCIAC Multi Dual ... ran at Washington's Sundodger Invitational in the open race, leading Occidental and finishing seventh overall in a time of 22:02 over the 6k course ... competed infrequently during the outdoor season, running occasionally on the 4x400m relay.
High School and Personal: Born in London, England and grew up in Europe until high school ... parents are Melissa and Wil Merritt ... has one younger sister, Amelia, and one younger brother, Chris ... won the Washington State 3A 1,600-meter title as a senior in 2009, clocking 5:08.82 in the final ... also won the 1,600-meters at districts and the KingCo Championships her senior year ... focused on the 800-meters earlier in her career, taking 11th at the 3A state meet in the 800m in 2008 and eighth at state in 2007 as a sophomore ... led Mercer Island to the 2008 Washington 3A State Championship team title as a senior in 2008, placing 15th overall ... also took 20th at the cross country state meet as a sophomore in 2007.
