2014 Drake Relays Champ at 4x1600m and 4x800m
2014 (Cross Country): Ran just once in the fall, at the Washington Invitational, placing 91st overall after suffering a fall in the race.
2013-14 (Track): Advanced all the way to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in his redshirt freshman season and earned All-America honorable mention at 1,500-meters with an appearance in the NCAA semifinals ... got on a roll after squeaking into the Pac-12 1,500m final, taking fifth in the final, then auto advancing through the first round and quarterfinals at NCAA West Prelims in Fayetteville, Ark. ... in the West Prelims first round, set a new PR and broke the UW freshman school record with a time of 3:42.84 that ranks sixth on the Husky top-10 list ... scored at his first Pac-12 Track Championships, finishing fifth in a time of 3:44.31 with a big late kick ... scored a win in the UW-WSU Dual Meet in the 1,500-meters, crossing first in 4:02.52 ... ran on two victorious Husky teams at the Drake Relays, running legs on the 4x1600-meters and 4x800-meters ... first broke into the 1,500m top-10 list with a then-PR of 3:43.44 at the Bryan Clay Invite ... ran an 800m PR of 1:50.75 at the Oregon Preview in his outdoor opener ... closed his indoor season with a great effort at the MPSF Championships, taking third in the mile final in a five-second PR of 4:05.09 ... also ran 4:10.46 for the mile at the Husky Classic indoors ... (Cross Country): Ran at his first career Pac-12 Championships in his home state of Colorado, finishing 53rd overall and eighth among Huskies … opened the season with a 30th-place finish at the Sundodger Invite, the No. 8 Husky … ran at the Bill Dellinger Invite, finishing 44th overall in 25:21 for 8k … ran well at the Emerald City Open at Woodland Park, finishing third overall … garnered Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
2012-13 (Track): Ran a full indoor season before redshirting the outdoor season to preserve a year of eligibility … competed unattached a couple times at the end of the outdoor season, including a trip to the U.S. Junior Outdoor Championships, where he finished 11th in the 1,500-meter finals … ran a season-best 3:58.32 in the 1,500m in the U.S. Junior prelim … indoors, ran the mile at the MPSF Championships, finishing 32nd overall in 4:17.30 … had a big mile run career-best at the Husky Classic as he ran 4:09.81 … also clocked a 4:12.31 mile to take sixth in the UW Invitational ... (Cross Country): Redshirted the season, running once unattached at the Sundodger Invite, finishing 33rd in 25:41, the best finish among UW unattached competitors.
High School and Personal: Born in Denver, Colorado ... parents are Maribeth and Colin Harris ... has three older brothers, Colin, Kevin, and Quinn ... uncle Richie Harris ran for Colorado State and professionally for Athletics West and broke four-minutes in the mile ... captured the Colorado 4A state title on the track at 1,600-meters his senior year, running a PR in the finals of 4:18.79 ... also took sixth at state in 2012 in the 3,200m ... took the win in the 3,200m at the 2012 Tri-Valley/Northern Conference meet, clocking a personal-best of 9:32.53 ... was 14th in the 2011 state finals in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meters ... in cross country, finished ninth at the Colorado 4A state meet as a senior in 2011, after a 13th-place finish at state as a junior.
