UW men's crew put the finishing touches on a strong fall rowing season with dominant performances in the eights, fours and double sculls at the Head of the Lake on Saturday, Nov. 8 on the Montlake Cut.

The National Champion UW men's crew will finish up fall competition on Nov. 8 on its home course, as the Huskies will participate in the Head of the Lake. The three mile course starts in Lake Union, crosses Portage Bay, runs through the Montlake Cut and finishes in Lake Washington. Racing begins at 8 a.m. PT.

Callahan Names Garratt Assistant Coach, Announces Two Intern Assistants

UW men's crew head coach Michael Callahan has named Niles Garratt as his second assistant coach, a promotion from his graduate assistant position Garratt held last year. The Huskies have also added intern assistants Kristen Brownlee and Alex Mann.

UW Rowing To Hold Open Tryout Sep. 30

Washington men's and women's crew will be holding an open tryout for walk-ons on September 30 at 4 p.m. PT at the Conibear Shellhouse. No previous rowing experience is needed to try out.

Rowing as part of the historically dominant U.S women's eight, Huskies Kerry Simmonds and Katelin Snyder helped the U.S. win its 10th straight world championship as the duo became the third and fourth UW alumni to win gold at the 2015 Senior World Championships.
