Huskies Return Home To Host Stanford

No. 20 Washington (31-9, 3-5 Pac-12) hosts Stanford (16-19, 1-5 Pac-12) for a three-game series at Husky Softball Stadium this Thursday-Saturday. Game one of the series is set for 5 p.m. PT Thursday (April 2) with game two scheduled for 5 p.m. PT Friday (April 3) and the final slated for 2 p.m. PT Saturday (April 4). All three games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.

Lahners Taken Tenth In NPF Draft

Washington softball senior Kylee Lahners was selected as the tenth overall pick in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) College Draft, held at CMA Theatre inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn. Wednesday night. The Dallas Charge selected the Laguna Hills, Calif. native with the final pick of the second round.

Oregon Tops Washington In Offensive Outburst, 15-6

In a game featuring 21 runs on 21 hits and a whole lot of home runs, Oregon (30-4, 8-1 Pac-12) got the best of the offensive explosion against Washington (31-9, 3-5 Pac-12) to earn a 15-6 win Sunday at Howe Field in the third and final game of the series. Washington fought until the end, plating six runs in the final two innings.

Washington recorded its sixth shutout of the season, beating Portland State in a midweek non-conference game, 9-0 (6) Wednesday night in Hillsboro, Ore. Ten different Huskies tallied at least one hit while three recorded multiple RBI in the game. Junior Hailey Bator (9-2) earned the victory, going 5.0 innings in the start and allowing no runs on five hits and two walks. Freshman Kirstyn Thomas pitched a scoreless inning of relief, allowing one hit and one walk.

Washington opened its four-game weekend beating Portland State in a midweek non-conference game, 9-0 (6) Wednesday night in Hillsboro, Ore. Ten different Huskies tallied at least one hit while three recorded multiple-RBI in the game. For the eighth game in a row, Washington scored in the first inning, before eventually ending the game early via a six-run sixth-inning.

No. 18 Washington plated six runs in the first inning Monday night in the finale of its series against UCLA at Husky Softball Stadium to earn a 6-2 victory. For the third consecutive game of the series, Washington scored in the first inning. This time, however, the Huskies held the lead to hand UCLA their first conference loss and snap a 15-game win steak by the Bruins.
