Wilcox earned All-Pac-12 honors all four years of his career while NWG becomes the 10th frosh to be named to the All-Freshman Team under coach Romar.
The fifth-year senior scores 12 of his points in a roaring start to the second half for the Huskies (17-14, 9-9 Pac-12). They now head to Las Vegas for Wednesday's first-round game of the Pac-12 tournament as the ninth seed and will play Utah.
Win or lose in Saturday's regular-season finale, the Huskies (16-14, 8-9 Pac-12) are locked into either an eight or a nine seed in the Pac-12 tournament. UW will play Wednesday at noon in the first round. And if it wins that it gets top-seeded Arizona in the quarterfinals Thursday at noon.
The senior sharpshooter scores 20 points but takes just 4 shots after halftime before fouling out. Washington (16-14, 8-9 Pac-12) hosts USC in the regular-season finale Saturday afternoon.
The Huskies may never again have a player of C.J. Wilcox's quality that not only wanted to stay all four years, he asked for an extra one. Five years later he's playing his final two home games as the second-leading scorer in UW history, bound for the NBA.
The Huskies host UCLA at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. The game will be televised on ESPN2 with Dave Pasch and Bill Walton on the call.
Nigel Williams-Goss scores 17 points with a career-high 12 rebounds, four assists and no turnovers. Andrew Andrews is also great again. And the Huskies (16-13, 8-8 Pac-12) gain more momentum for March. Two games remain in the regular season: Next week vs. UCLA and USC.
The Huskies (15-13, 7-8 Pac-12) host Washington State (9-18, 2-13) Friday at 7:30 p.m., then UCLA and USC next week, still with a chance to finish 10-8 in the league. That would enhance their credentials for the postseason. And, yes, they are aware of that.
