Washington Softball Primes For Weekend In California

With a 14-3 record this season, the No. 17/18 University of Washington softball team travels to Stockton and Santa Clara, Calif. to play in the Libby Matson Tournament and Santa Clara Invitational. The Huskies will play six games over the course of three days. On Friday, Feb. 27, Washington plays North Dakota State (1 p.m.) and Pacific (3:15 p.m.) in Stockton before traveling to Santa Clara to play Howard (10 a.m.) and Santa Clara (12:15 p.m.) on both Saturday and Sunday.

Softball Announces 2015 Webcast Schedule

Long-time play-by-play man Mike Brown returns for his 18th season behind the microphone to broadcast Husky softball this season, starting with this weekend's games in California. The broadcasts will be available on, through rights-holder Washington IMG College, and will carry 15 games throughout the regular season.

Huskies Complete 4-1 Weekend In Hawaii

The No. 17 Washington softball team wrapped up a 4-1 weekend at the Bank of Hawaii Invitational on Sunday earning an 8-3 win over UTEP to advance into the championship game where the Huskies fell to No. 19 UCF, 4-2 in a game that was cut short due to time constraints with UCF's travel arrangements. The teams mutually agreed prior to the start of the game to a drop time, which ended the game after five full innings of play.

Softball Shuts Out UTEP 9-0, Outlasts Hawaii 6-4

Washington softball tallied two wins on the second day of the Bank of Hawaii Invitational in Honolulu Saturday to earn a No. 1 seed in bracket play tomorrow. The Huskies shut out UTEP, 9-0, before coming out on top in a back-and-forth slugfest with Hawaii, 6-4.

Aguilar, Souza Home Runs Lift Huskies Past No. 19 UCF

Trailing 3-2 in the sixth inning, Ali Aguilar's leadoff home run tied the game and with two outs, Kimberlee Souza hit the second home run of the inning to boost the Huskies to a 4-3 win over UCF Friday afternoon. The No. 17 Huskies (11-2) handed No. 19 UCF (8-1) its first loss of the season in the first game of the Bank of Hawaii Invitational in Honolulu.

The Washington softball team travels to Honolulu, Hawaii this weekend for the Bank of Hawaii Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii. The Huskies open tournament action on Friday, Feb. 20 against Central Florida at 3:30 p.m. (PST). On Saturday, Feb. 21, Washington plays UTEP at 1:30 before facing host Hawai'i at 6 p.m. Washington wraps up the tournament on Sunday with bracket play.

Washington Softball Moves to 10-2 In Doubleheader Sweep

Led by 4-hit performances by senior Kylee Lahners and sophomore Ali Aguilar, Washington improved to 10-2 on the season, earning a pair of wins over Grand Canyon Monday in Phoenix, Ariz. A total of 11 different players recorded hits for the Huskies on the day, with six players finishing with multiple hits.

No. 15 Washington softball wrapped up a 4-1 weekend at the Littlewood Classic on Sunday with an 11-5 win over North Texas. Offensively, Kimberlee Souza led the team with three hits while Courtney Gano and Casey Stangel drove in three Husky runs.

Washington softball kicked off a seven-game road trip in Arizona at the Littlewood Classic Friday morning on the campus of Arizona State University. The No. 15 Huskies (5-2) split the first two games of the tournament, defeating Boston University, 11-3 before falling to No. 4 Oklahoma, 8-7.

No. 15 Washington softball continues its season at the Littlewood Classic in Tempe, Ariz., hosted by Arizona State University. The Huskies will play five games over three days. On Friday, Feb. 13, Washington opens against Boston University at 11:15 a.m. before playing No. X Oklahoma at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 14, the Huskies plays North Texas at 9 a.m. before playing Illinois State at 11:15 a.m. Washington wraps up the Littlewood Classic with a second game against North Texas on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. On Monday, the team will play a doubleheader at Grand Canyon starting at 11 a.m.

The 11th-ranked Washington softball team closed out the Sportco Kick Off Classic with an 11-6 win against Louisville (2-3) Sunday at Eller Media Stadium. The Huskies improved to 4-1 on the season.
