The Husky Baseball program is accepting applications for a student manager position for the 2014-15 fall and spring seasons.
A year after finishing second in the Pac-12, winning 41 games and earning a trip to the NCAA Regionals for the first time in 10 years, Washington Huskies baseball ushers in a new era with 28 homes games at Husky Ballpark. In all, the Huskies are scheduled to play 56 games, featuring 17 against seven teams that participated in the 2014 NCAA tournament, including three that advanced to the Super Regionals.
This last weekend Husky Baseball players from the past and present gathered for three days of reminiscing, renewing old friendships, making new connections and even reliving their glory days.
While Major League Baseball still has a portion of its season to play, the minor leagues have wrapped up their year, with championships decided and hardware handed out. For Huskies' players in the minors, it was a banner year. Not only did a school record eight Huskies get selected in the 2014 June MLB Draft, but several careers of former Huskies took off.
Play 18 holes with fellow alumni, friends and family at the beautiful Redmond Ridge Golf Club. Start time is set for 1:30 pm and dinner will be provided at the conclusion of the event.
